Comments: Used to be the gold-standard for reenacting uniforms and equipment, but that's changed in the last few years. The owner likes to crowd-source information on social media then bad-mouth the comments he received in his weekly emails. It seems that ATF wants to create inaccurate fantasy WWII items in an attempt to expand their market into everyday streetwear for non-reenactors. "Looks cool" has taken priority over historical accuracy. I don't like the direction the owner is taking the business. I used to say anything from ATF is good, but from now on, before you purchase anything, run it by the unit commander.
Comments: Large selection at competitive prices. Beware that website reviews are cherry-picked and any criticism is deleted. I left a negative review of an item. Not only was the review deleted, my entire account was deleted. So the owner is makes sketchy decisions, is untruthful in advertising and their customer service has rarely been good to me. They do have some other good things - their uniforms (while Chinese) are good enough quality and are sold at a good price.
Comments: A lot of good original items, but overpriced in my opinion. Some repro field gear is spot on, some of it isn't. Leather items tend be of the cheap Chinese type, so I'd avoid getting any reproduction item using leather from here. e.g. MG slings are bad - leather and hardware both fell apart quickly. Prices are definitely on the high end.
Your local pawn shop, gun store or gun show can also be good places to find WWII-era weapons and equipment.
Nowadays, gun shows are going to be your best bet for finding a K98 rifle. Unfortunately, only so many K98s exist. None are being made, so prices will continue to increase by the day, their scarcity will increase and their prices will never come back down.
